The Teaspoon Gallery in Waitrose, Menai Bridge is where my Italian Paintings and sketches will be showing mid November to mid December this year. In Spring 2015 I was in Riva del Garda. It was bright but out of the sun quite chilly , there was snow on the mountains. Colours were clean and fresh in the early morning , very few people were out and about as I sketched the square in the old town. It was the feeling of space and stillness below the massive backdrop of the mountains that I wanted to capture.
Selected paintings from the Teaspoon Gallery, Waitrose, Menai Bridge (were exhibited mid-Nov until mid-Dec 2017)
These paintings are about the atmosphere of stormy beaches and high moorland. I have used spraying techniques that create mood and space. This is a process that has an element of planning but is open to live discoveries.
Selected paintings from the NAPA Summer Exhibition, The Crypt Gallery, St. Ives (July 1st - July 14th 2017)
These paintings show some memorable sights along the Pembroke coastal path from St. David’s to Whitesand Bay. They are acrylic on paper using mostly a palette knife to produce them. Paintings 1, 2, 3 and 4 were shown at the Crypt Gallery and were awarded the Artists Publishing Award.
